MY EXPERIENCE RUNNING THE LONDON MARATHON

I am so proud to say that I am a finisher of the London Marathon, running it in 5:55:30 for an incredible charity so close to my heart! Can you believe it!? Because I can’t! Before the marathon The weeks leading up to the day I was dreading it. My shin splints were awful and I had to visit the minor injuries unit to get it checked out. The doctor assured me that I was young and fit, so I should just dose up on painkillers & carry on training! So, that I did (occasionally). I’m not going to lie and say I trained half as much as I should have, because I really didn’t. But, clearly it was enough to get me around in…

HOW TO STOP COMPARING YOURSELF TO OTHERS

Do you remember the times when we didn’t know the minute details about other peoples lives? Better yet, randomers, or people we hadn’t met in person, we really didn’t care about. Out of sight, out of mind is a saying that sums this up for me really – if what others were doing & achieving was out of sight, it wasn’t there to bother you. We didn’t compare ourselves because it wasn’t shoved in our faces so much.   In the world of blogging, it is SO easy to compare ourselves, and I am guilty of it all the time. Why can’t I grow like they are? What are they doing that people love? How can I improve my following, improve my pictures, improve my…

14 WAYS TO INCREASE YOUR INSTAGRAM FOLLOWING

You post religiously, have decent looking photos and you just want to increase your Instagram following to break the 1,000 follower mark. Instagram is one of those social media platforms that are extremely hard to grow (in my opinion anyway!). Although I don’t have thousands of followers, I have found a few tips which have helped me grow my following quite quickly so far! Instagram is annoying me lately with all of the fake accounts, fake comments and this ridiculous follow / unfollow game, but I have been trying to persevere with it. Time and patience is your friend when it comes to making those Insta gains I think!   1. Like hundreds of pictures on your discover feed from people in your target audience Research shows that for…

DYSON SUPERSONIC REVIEW – IS IT WORTH £299?

I have the worst hair in the history of mankind. It is incredibly thick, and even after a hella amount of product application and tackling my mane with the straighteners, I still come out the house looking like I just rolled out of bed. Cheers natural selection for the DNA I was blessed with. I have had my eye on this Dyson hairdryer for MONTHS. Before it was released I was eagerly looking at reviews and deciding whether I was going to spend nearly 300 hundred whole pounds on a bloody hairdryer. I decided no – it was far too expensive and even my boyfriends sister gave me a talking to about why it would not be a worthwhile investment. Everyone was raving about it when…

17 GOALS FOR 2017

What a year it has been. No one can say it hasn’t been eventful to say the least – I feel like a lot has happened to a lot of people!   I like setting myself goals, so I decided to set myself 17 goals for 2017! What better way to it than as a blog post? This way, I can look back at this post at the end of next year to see if I achieved them…   1) Become fully qualified in my job I hope I can meet this one within the first month of 2017, but if not, I will retake the exam to make it happen! I am determined to finally qualify and be free from exams forever!   2)…

A CHRISTMAS WITHOUT FAMILY

My Christmas traditions are changing and to me, this is such a big deal! It has felt like forever since I posted – I was supposed to be doing Blogmas but that was short-lived… Life got in the way as expected!   I do not want this post to be morbid in any way! However, right now I am finding writing my thoughts and feelings very therapeutic at the moment. I also feel this will help you guys get to know me a little better!   It is that time of year where we look forward to the little things in life – wearing Christmas pyjamas on Christmas Eve, going to a certain loved one’s house & getting Monopoly out for a full on competition. For me,…

ADVICE

THE NEED TO SUCCEED

The need to succeed. I think a lot of us all like to think we have that drive in us, the NEED to make our mark on the world. Travel to places before everyone else, set trends, be someone others look up to, get promoted consistently, buy a house by the age of 25, have the perfect body & stay humble whilst doing all of it.   But it’s all a load of bullshit right? I’m determined, and want it all, but sometimes it is physically not possible. How many REAL people manage it? How many people can actually say they are doing everything they want and getting it right every single time?   You think “oh god, I haven’t done that or thought…
