I was lucky enough to pick up the new Gymshark seamless leggings in both the beet and slate grey colours. I decided to treat myself as I have recently fell in love with going to the gym again. To celebrate, I decided I was going to buy some top quality gym wear in an attempt to keep my motivation going.
I had heard loads about Gymshark, and after seeing how good it looked on girls, I wanted some of my own. Luckily, there was a new release of the all time favourite seamless leggings & I had decided I was going to get both of the new colours!
Once I heard they were high-waisted and would suck me in to make me look slimmer than I actually am, there was no compromise on picking some up. I set an alarm ready to speed buy a pair in both the Beet & Slate Grey because I had heard they sell out stupidly quickly… & that they did! The colours are just gorgeous & I was far too excited about bloody gym leggings. What is my life.
I quickly learnt from others that there were issues with these leggings being see through. For the hefty £40 price tag, you want a decent quality legging. When I initially put them on, I was quite happy. They fit lovely, sucked me in and the colours looked incredible. Who doesn’t love high-waisted bottoms – especially when bloated most of the time? Then came the squat test…
As you can see, you can see my arse when I bend in even the slightest way. So ultimately, they are see through. I have a size 10-12 booty & I am 5ft2. I couldn’t exactly buy a medium, because then the legs would be far too long. To be honest, I was pushing it with the size small in terms of leg length as it is!
Do I mind that much? Not really! Yes they are see through, but it could be worse and they are SO comfortable. I personally am okay with the level of transparency, but I know others may not be. That being said, I thought a blogpost would be helpful to those wondering how see through they are!
Overall, yes you can see my junk, but as long as you choose a slightly bigger size, it isn’t so bad. But, if you want completely squat proof leggings, then these aren’t for you. Or look at the very bright side, your bum crack can pass as the seam down the back of the leggings if you’re desperate!
